This Privacy Policy applies to both the website BitDepth and the Android mobile application BitDepth. By accessing or using our Service on either platform, you signify that you have read, understood, and agree to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service.
When accessing via BitDepth app, we detect and serve a mobile-optimized layout using a custom user agent string TechNewsApp/1.0.0 (Flutter) with a custom header on the mobile webkit to enhance your user experience.

- Company: References "BitDepth," owned and operated by an individual based in Algeria.

News content can be browsed without registration or providing personal data.

AI Summarization
BitDepth utilizes AI technology to generate news summaries and support recommendation features.
No user information or personally identifiable data is transmitted to AI providers—only publicly available news content is processed for summarization purposes.
Third-Party Service Providers & Infrastructure
BitDepth is owned and operated by an individual residing in Algeria and is hosted using Hostinger VPS with Dokploy. Your data may be processed, stored, and transferred internationally by Vercel’s servers, including in the EU and USA. By using our Service, you consent to necessary cross-border data handling.
Other third-party providers include:
- Vercel Privacy Policy
- Google Analytics Privacy Policy — used for anonymized analytics and usage insights.
- Clerk Privacy Policy — used for user authentication and account management.
- Firebase Privacy Policy — used for Push Notifications service; Firebase handles push notification delivery but no personal data beyond what you provide is transmitted.
Data Use and Sharing
Registration data and category preferences are only used:
- To personalize your experience (news recommendations)
- To improve and optimize our website/app
- For secure account access
- For essential service operations (authentication, account management, push notifications)
We share information only with trusted third-party service providers who support the Service. They are contractually prohibited from using your data for other purposes.
We do not share your information with advertisers or marketing partners.
Email Use
Email addresses are used solely for essential notifications (account verification, password resets, important updates).
No marketing emails or newsletters.

Cookies, Local Storage, and Sessions
We use Cookies and Local Storage to enhance platform functionality, but they are non-essential. Blocking cookies may result in limited access. We do not place personally identifiable information in Cookies.
Children’s Privacy
BitDepth does not knowingly collect data from children under the age of 13, or under the age required by your local data protection laws.
Policy Changes
We may change our Privacy Policy and notify you (via Service notification) before the changes go into effect. Continued use of the Service means acceptance of the updated policy.
